What is HOT?
The Health Outreach Team is a health promotion service that aims to build the capacity of workers who work with young homeless people to respond to key health related issues.
The primary project of HOT at present is a sexual health project focussed on the reduction of HIV/AIDS and blood born virusses amongst homeless youth. It is expected that other projects will be included in the future.
One of the main tools used by the HOT project is training and resource development for youth workers.
