The HOT Project

The Health Outreach Team (HOT) Project is a health promotion project targeting homeless youth and at risk young people, and the services that work with them. It was first funded in 1991 as a pilot project, and has received ongoing support from NSW Health since.

The aim of the project is to reduce the transmission of HIV/AIDS and other blood borne viruses (BBV) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among young people who are homeless.
