Media Release, 12 June 2012- Yfoundations welcomes the NSW Government’s ongoing commitment to preserving families and intervening early when families are at risk. However, this investment should be equally matched with a commitment for young people who are unable stay within the family and who are not supported by Out of Home Care.

Be part of the solution! Youth Homelessness Matters Day 2012 NSW Launch

Media Release, 16 April 2012- Youth Homelessness Matters Day is an annual event coordinated nationally by the National Youth Coalition for Housing, designed to: build public awareness and draw attention to the task of ending youth homelessness in Australia, build on the good work already being done and enable young people to achieve their full potential. The YHMD theme for 2012 is “Be part of the solution.”We know what works, what needs to be done, it just needs to be done at the right scale and needs to involve the whole of government and community.

Data released shows children and young people are most likely to access homeless services

Media Release, 9 December 2011- One in 48 children and young people aged 15-19 years have accessed support or accommodation from a specialist homelessness service in NSW according to a report released today by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

Creating connections to support at risk young people and young offenders

Media Release, 24 November 2011 - Partnerships between specialist youth homelessness services, community organisations, Juvenile Justice and other government agencies is key to ending youth homelessness, the Chief Executive of Juvenile Justice, John Hubby has told a national conference.
